- 1 C flour
- 1 C beer
- 1 C Italian bread crumbs
- pepper to taste
- 1 lb jumbo peeled & de-veined shrimp
- Oil for frying
Prepare a deep fryer with basket and enough oil to cover shrimp. Heat for shrimp as directed on fryer. In a shallow bowl mix together pepper, beer and flour. Pour Italian seasoned bread crumbs into a plastic bag and set aside. Dip shrimp into beer and flour mixture, drop into Italian bread crumbs and shake to coat. Drop into fryer and fry until golden brown. Set on paper towel to drain. Serves 4 to 6.
Note: For a different flavor, add 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese to the Italian bread crumbs.
