Biscuits and Gravy


  • 1 lb seasoned bulk pork sausage
  • 1 pkt Lipton’s Beef Mushroom Soup mix
  • 2 T onion, diced fine
  • 1/2 lb mushrooms cleaned and sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • milk
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T Marsala wine
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 can prepared biscuits, baked according to directions on package


In a large skillet, sprayed with cooking spray, saute mushrooms and onions until lightly browned, sprinkle with pepper while cooking.  Remove from pan and set aside.  Place bulk sausage in skillet and cook on medium heat until lightly browned.  Break up into small pieces, or until crumbly, while cooking.  Drain grease from pan.  Add mushrooms and onions to pan.  Sprinkle with Lipton’s Beefy Mushroom Soup mix.  Add can of cream of mushroom soup.  Add milk to empty can until about half full.  Add to mixture in pan.  Stir together until blended well.  Add butter and bring to a slow boil.  Lower heat.  Add wine and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.  Serve over prepared biscuits.  Serves 4 – 6.
