Candied Carrots


  • 8 oz baby carrots
  • olive oil
  • Basil to taste
  • 1-2 T brown sugar


In a large skillet, drizzle olive oil in bottom of pan in a light layer.  Add carrots, brown sugar (sprinkle over carrots), and season to taste with basil.  Saute until carrots are cooked to desired doneness, stirring often to prevent scorching.  Some browning is expected.  Makes about 4 servings.
