- 1 whole chicken, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 2/3 C flour
- Italian Seasoning
- Seasoning salt
Take cut up chicken pieces and lightly coat with flour by shaking each piece in a plastic bag filled with flour. Fill a large electric skillet or large skillet on the stove about 1/2 inch deep with cooking oil. Heat to 375 degrees. Add chicken pieces to hot oil and season liberally with Italian seasoning, pepper, and season salt. Fry chicken until golden brown on each side, about 15 minutes. Remove from oil and transfer to a 9 x 13 baking dish and bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serves 4 – 6.
